SolidWorks provides a powerful API (Applications Programming Interface) that is fully Windows native. MSC Technologies uses this interface to develop powerful custom applications that can drive SolidWorks parts and assemblies, or link SolidWorks to other applications.  Using OLE2 and Visual Studio, we can make the software perform tasks that would be impossible with any other tool!
