Custom Training Courses for
Operators

Operators are the people in the trenches, who are working daily on Pro/ENGINEER to create designs and drawings. These are the detailers, the designers, and the engineers.  For the operator, the highest level of skill in using Pro/ENGINEER is paramount.  The user needs to be able to create, modify, and fix models and drawings as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Our courses for operators are tailored to do just that.

We break our courses down into several levels, and by topic.  We have a basic, and intermediate, and an advanced course, as well as specialized courses in Sheet Metal and Surfacing.  We also offer a course for your local "GURU", the user that everyone else goes to with questions.

Each course is custom tailored to your company.  We use examples gleaned from your own products, and use your internal systems and standards for the procedures.

Each of these courses is described briefly below.

BASIC - The introduction to Pro/ENGINEER.  This course covers the basics of modeling in Pro/ENGINEER, and the theory of modeling for solid models.  It covers the creation of basic parts, assemblies and drawings.  At the completion of this course, the operator should be able to create and document any part that could be made by hand on a mill or lathe. Course length, 5 days.

INTERMEDIATE - This course extends the topics of the BASIC course into more complex geometry. Typically covers large assembly manipulation, advanced drawings, basic sheet metal design, and more.  Course length, 3 days.

ADVANCED - This course takes the user to a new level.  Typically covers basic surfacing and other advanced modeling techniques and theories.  At the completion of this course, the user should be able to model most injection molded and thermoformed parts.  Course length, 3 days.

SHEET METAL - An intensive course covering the tools available in the sheet metal module. This course covers all the standard sheet metal practices used in industry, with the exception of deep drawn parts.  Course length, 3 days.

SURFACING - This course covers the modeling of the most complex parts.  Covers complex contours, advanced drafting, rounding, smooth transitions, tangent surfaces, equation driven geometry, and complex deep drawn parts.   Applicable to injection molding, thermoforming,
castings, and cosmetic industrial design.  Course length, 3 to 5 days.

GURU - This class revolves around the need to answer questions and solve problems that arise in normal use of Pro/ENGINEER by a department of different individuals.  In this class, we challenge the student with all kinds of problems and situations that will press their abilities to the limits and beyond. Course length, 3 to 5 days.
