Pro/PDM
Pro/PDM is PTC's Para-metric Design
Manager, or in common terms, a database system for managing your electronic design data.
Pro/PDM stores Pro/ENGINEER data in a common vault area, and controls access via a
set of standards assigned by the administrator, thereby controlling changes,
authorization, and even basic access. Pro/PDM also understands the relationships
between Pro/ENGINEER models, and is therefore a powerful tool in managing large assemblies
and complex projects. Pro/PDM is a separate program from Pro/ENGINEER and needs to
be set up, and administered separate. Properly configured, Pro/PDM will be a
powerful asset to any company.
